About the book

Meeting people was never a priority for Skye and her husband Wynn. They always thought they were fine on their own – right up until the day a rather odd, eccentric fellow knocked on their door. You know the type: shows up wearing a hat that has its own ecosystem.

He offered them the trip of a lifetime, and they couldn’t turn it down. What followed took them somewhere a few shades weirder than advertised – bizarre bazaars, sights breathtaking enough to make the Mona Lisa reach for her camera, and dinners with creatures that consider cutlery a personal insult.

Adventures, like free samples at the cheese shop, come with surprises. Somewhere between the departure and whatever this is, Skye and Wynn find themselves enrolled in a crash course in Uncomfortable Truths, complete with field trips and pop quizzes.

[FISH]ING OFF THE MOON IS FUN

Being a person who has a hard time sitting and reading books I didn’t have any trouble getting into this one!! It was fun and very imaginative. Such great detail you could imagine you were experiencing the trip with them. The main characters and their relationship with each other is nothing but AMAZING!! I never once found myself bored and wanting to put the book down. I actually couldn’t wait to have a free moment and pick it up.

[FISH]ING OFF THE MOON IS FUN

I’m somewhat at a loss as to how best to describe this book without giving away a lot of spoilers. It’s funny, semiserious, weird, loving and oddball all at the same time. I can honestly say that I have never read a book quite like it and I have read some very strange books in my 76 years. Having said that, I did enjoy the read. I laughed and/or smiled a lot, pulled my head back and asked “What?” many times, and generally had a great time read it. I hope you will as well.

the author

Jody Randall

Jody Randall writes about dreams, consciousness, complicated humans, and occasionally aliens who are deeply confused by us. Her stories range from the introspective to the absurd, but they tend to begin with the same dangerous question: What if there’s more to this than we thinks.
