About the Author

Jody Randall grew up in a house with six kids, zero quiet moments, and one very vivid dream life that nobody warned her would eventually become a book series.

She is an author and illustrator and the reluctant co-conspirator behind Johnny Rocket, a cosmic field operative who showed up in her dreams, refused to leave, and eventually demanded his own novel. She obliged, repeatedly. Five books later, she is beginning to suspect he planned this from the start.

Johnny may be the loudest of her creations, but he isn’t the only one. Her first published work was Chaotic Karma – where sometimes we are only given one option in life. Sometimes that option is to figure it out. Her next work was an homage to her first love Dreaming The Oneironauts Handbook: A Traveler’s Guide to The Dreamscape Realm – where she teaches the methods she uses to embark on 2-3 vivid lucid dreams per night, fueling her second love of storytelling.  

Whether she’s writing aliens, drama, or dreaming, the throughline is the same: warmth, humor, and the quiet suspicion that the ordinary world is stranger and more hopeful than it lets on.
