About the book
Skye Miller had always trusted the cards. For other people, they revealed possibilities she could scarcely explain. For herself, they offered only fragments.
Leaving home beneath a red sky, Skye believes she is finally choosing her own life. A new town brings the promise of freedom, and two men who make the future she imagined impossible to hold.
As attraction deepens and secrets gather, one choice begins to haunt every choice that follows. Skye turns to the cards for an answer. But some truths remain hidden until the moment they can no longer be changed.
Was it fate? Was it karma? Or did Skye create the future she never saw coming?
the author
Jody Randall
Jody Randall writes about dreams, consciousness, complicated humans, and occasionally aliens who are deeply confused by us. Her stories range from the introspective to the absurd, but they tend to begin with the same dangerous question: What if there’s more to this than we thinks.
